When I was young. I attended St Patrick's Catholic school in Bay Ridge New York. Thus every St Pattys day was a school holiday for us. Good deal. But since then, St Patrick's Day holds zero significance for me. I live near Savannah Georgia which uses the day to have a huge Drunk Fest ... parades, parties etc. So we have to stay away from Savannah this weekend due to the moronic drunk population that turns it into a zoo. Combined with the Spring Breakers, it is a disaster. Incidentally, this years spring break crowds are even more out of control and destructive than in other years. A sign of our "enlightened" age. More of the 21st century Shit Show.
