Just to get out we took a local road trip. Poured down rain the entire trip. We went to check some local attractions stopping first at Harrahs Resort and Casino in Cherokee NC
First time we were there and just looked around. Not gamblers . Not casino types. But it is an impressive resort in the Appalachians. Would I go back. No. But still cool to gawk at.
We also drove through Cherokee town and Maggie Valley. Definitely worth a return visit seeing as how it was pouring rain the entire trip. Actually we have been here 5 days now and it is raining all the time. All day. Beautiful area with the worst weather I have even experienced. Shame too. El Niño is a total crap show.
